Gathering together from Nevada City, North Tahoe,  Sparks, and the Carson Valley, The Ragged Rogues germinated from the local sessions around the Lake Tahoe and Reno. The members have varied musical backgrounds, not only in Irish Traditional music, but also bluegrass and classical.

As Bentley, the Rogues banjo player, chuckled, “When I finally heard honest-to-God music in Ireland, I knew I wouldn’t be playing bluegrass anymore.”  Once the traditional Irish tunes get stuck in your head, they’re impossible to ignore–the only way to scratch the itch is to grab a fiddle and start playing!
